We are looking for a Product Specialist for the Hainaut and Brussels region. 

As a Product Specialist (PS) you will visit physicians working in the therapeutic areas associated with this role. You are responsible for analyzing the market and identifying business opportunities. As a PS you lay "the foundation" for long-term collaboration and innovative contracting and you are able to "seal the deal". 

You will be the driver of all sales activities in your region due to an optimal and close collaboration with your internal stakeholders. You are also responsible of making the sales plan.

In this role you will report directly to the Sales Manager and closely collaborate with the Brand Manager, Medical Affairs Manager, Assistant and the Business Unit Director. As a PS you are "the coordinated voice" to the customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Achieve proposed sales results/targets in terms of volume, value, market share and number of patients.
  • Identify, utilize, target and build relationships with relevant stakeholders in the hospital area to positively influence prescribing decisions for assigned Celgene products.
  • Collaborate with an entire cross-functional team (including Sales Manager, Brand Manager and  Medical Affairs Manager) in your region.
  • Build and maintain sales related relationships with accounts/customers and fulfill customer requests for information and/or expertise.
  • Respond to customer issues and enquiries to ensure high level of customer service to develop the brand for Celgene and assigned Celgene products.
  • Create and update key accounts mapping. Propose account/action plan of territory by time, segment and activity type.
  • Conduct analyses of market changes, dynamics and customers to support BU strategy and policy development.
  • Ensure customer database is accurate, up to date, daily activities are recorded and is used to assist with effective planning.
  • Promote products in line with the Brand plans and compliance rules.
  • Develop required qualitative and quantitative reports
  • Ensure budget allocation for assigned Celgene portfolio.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions and keep knowledge level up to standard.
  • Attend congresses and networking events.

Skills/Knowledge Required

  • Preferably Academic (Bachelor or Master) with 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in a specialist environment.
  • Understanding of principles of Customer and Project Management.
  • Experience in participating to National & International congresses
  • Disease area knowledge (highly preferable) - Immunology & Inflammation, Rheumatology and/or Dermatology.
  • Understanding of principles of Customer and Project Management.
  • Customer focus; initiate and develop segmentation and targeting of key accounts on his/her territory.
  • Work independently with good degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to understand clinical studies and scientific literature relevant for portfolio.
  • Team player / sharing best practices.
  • Open to constructive feedback / actively seeking feedback.
  • Networking to develop and maintain long term relationships.
  • Proficient sales analytics and forecasting skills.
  • High degree of self motivation
  • Good command of English (oral and written).
  • Computer literate: good knowledge at user level of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel; possesses valid driver’s license.
