Under the direction of Regional Business Manager, this individual will be responsible for the selection, development, implementation and execution of regional relevant commercial projects in the therapeutic field of rheumatology and dermatology. He/she drives the initiation of these projects in close relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales I&I, Medical, Market Access) and external vendors. Success of this role will depend on effective cooperation within the regional in-field team and open communication at all times.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong customer presence.
  • Analysis of regional supply chain / structure and identification of all relevant and involved partners.
  • Set-up and maintenance of local / regional networks to provide supply optimization for patients with inflammable rheumatic and dermatological diseases (e.g. development of interdisciplinary event formats on regional level, regional roundtables for members of professional associations, regional educations concepts for medical assistants).
  • Development and management of strong relationships with dermatologists and rheumatologists, important customers and other health care professionals.
  • Establishment and maintenance regional platforms to implement Celgene’s franchise strategy.
  • Planning, organization and execution of projects and events on a regional level.
  • Participation and support of in-field teams in national projects/events with important customers (coordination, planning and execution).
  • Active encouragement of regular exchange of ideas and experiences with other Regional Field Network Managers and Regional Business Managers
  • Budget management.
  • Open communication with peers, supervisors and other Regional Field Network Managers.
  • Responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations as well as Celgene’s Policies in all activities.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Strong identification with Celgene’s values.
  • Experience in either dermatology or rheumatology.
  • Pharmaceutical, medical device or relevant sales experience.
  • Proven track record demonstrating top sales accomplishments.
  • Ability to develop relationships with physicians, nurses and staff within academic hospitals, clinics, and private practice facilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain network relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare system processes including reimbursements an asset.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and pro-active self-starter.
  • Proven track record of leadership skills incl. accountability, flexibility, adaptability, humbleness, emotional intelligence, motivational skills.
  • Puts team benefit above individual benefit.
  • Strong communicator across all levels, geographies, client groups and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
