A convergence of healthcare ecosystem forces, mandates that Celgene transforms its approach to harnessing data and using its derived insights to drive decision-making, which is the vision of the Celgene iKU (Information, Knowledge, Utilization) function. The objective of iKU is to continuously drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making and analytics throughout the entire organization (primarily focusing on internal business insights leaders and internal/external data scientists). To this end, iKU has developed Synapse: a cutting edge big data analytics platform with enterprise applications built upon a growing base of RWD. The Synapse platform has been built with the goal of significantly increasing the number of individuals who can work directly with big data, beyond the highly-specialized data scientist.
The Associate Director of iKU Enablement is a key role for iKU and is responsible for the formation and execution of a comprehensive enablement strategy spanning product management, training, onboarding, and education to support ongoing adoption of iKU. In addition, this individual will need to possess business acumen to assist in ensuring a business lens is applied from an end-to-end perspective across the iKU platform.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, action-oriented and have experience in change management and rolling out new solutions within a large organization. S/he will be experienced in analytics and have proven collaboration capabilities across functional teams of business leaders, IT business partners, business analysts, data managers, project managers, clinical scientists, operational staff, and physicians. The candidate has demonstrated ability to actively listen, prioritize and integrate input from diverse sources and successfully understand medical or business objectives, questions and skillsets to translate this development and execution of tailored enablement plans to support adoption of the capability.
This role will be required to maintain a scientific understanding of healthcare data, internal data harmonization standards, and iKU processes from data generation, collection, integration, ingestion to related systems and technologies.
