The position reports to the Director, Compliance Spend Transparency and will support Celgene’s Spend Transparency program. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure US State Spend Transparency data is being captured and reported in an accurate, complete, and timely manner in accordance with evolving regulations.  In addition, the individual will monitor other State reporting requirements including but not limited to Field Force Licensing and Continuing Education requirements as well as Drug Samples and Drug Pricing.

Position requirements and responsibilities:

Spend Transparency

  • Capture, load and report transfers of value provided to Healthcare Professionals and Organizations in support US Federal and State Transparency reporting laws
  • Monitor data collection templates and reports that are being submitted per expected schedule and follow-up with stakeholders as required
  • Perform detailed quarterly review of HCP transactions for US State Spend Transparency to ensure accuracy and completeness based on QC defined criteria
  • Monitor all Recipient transactions for compliance with various US State legal requirements and corporate internal policy and SOPs
  • Assist with development of State Spend Transparency reports
  • Partner with appropriate organizations to monitor FDA and State Drug Sample and pricing reporting
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance leadership to ensure State Spend Transparency reports are submitted on time
  • Manage State Spend Transparency reporting registration and fees schedule
  • Partner across organizations to monitor Field Force is up-to-date with State Licenses and Continuing Education
  • Partner with appropriate organizations to monitor drug sample reporting
  • Partner with appropriate organizations to monitor drug pricing reporting
  • Assist on projects as required


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the life sciences industry
  • Experience with the Federal Sunshine Act and US State Spend Transparency laws is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to partner effectively with others to address complex compliance and operational issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and possesses attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize regularly changing workload
