Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) day to day operations. Provide strong leadership, guidance and oversight of our 3PL programs and procedures to ensure on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and the effective and efficient operation through appropriate metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators).
  • Manage finished goods inventory. Coordinate with Global Logistics on the management of product shipment logistics and inventory levels to 100% order fulfillment.
  • Manage all aspects of the business: tracking the supply chain, developing processes and procedures, and developing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop distribution related policies and procedures including but not limited to orders, returns and inventory.
  • Notify customers and update of all systems, relating to new/changes in price and product lists.
  • Manage the local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process in coordination with Global Demand Planning team.
  • Drive the necessary processes to ensure compliance with all regulations GxP, Financial, Regulatory etc.
  • Develops trade channel strategies and tactics for each of Celgene’s commercial and developing products, inclusive of managing any risks that arise.
  • Manage wholesaler distribution contracts including issue resolution maintaining compliance with business policy and terms of sale.
  • Develop strong partnerships with our external trade partners.
  • Provides routine and ad hoc analyses and reporting and keeps key internal stakeholders abreast of distribution trends and channel fill supporting forecast accuracy.
  • Maintains timely and effective communications with senior management on key trends and high level performance of the distribution networks.
  • Ensure data integrity and adequate data flows between the company and distribution vendors and trade partners; develop and disseminate distribution related analytics, insights and reporting to ensure accurate information and timeliness supporting various planning activities including forecasting.
  • Defines structure, criteria and reporting required for new channels and partners in order to support new product launches while continually reviewing existing programs and evaluating additional development needed.
  • Manage a local monitoring program for cross border sale risks

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related Supply Chain/Operations discipline
  • Previous ERP system experience in Order Mgmt and Inventory Mgmt (preferably Oracle)
  • 7-10 years of operations experience preferred in Pharmaceutical/Health Care - Customer Care, Supply Chain, with understanding of GDP/GMP regulations
  • A solid understanding of pharmaceutical channel management and trade customers and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage external partners
  • Is a proven business process and solutions-oriented leader who can provide strong leadership in a fast paced, continuous changing environment and growing organization.
  • Excellent negotiator and team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, strategic and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with customers and colleagues
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and monitor wholesaler patterns and sales
  • Knowledge of Trade finance including liaising with Accounts Receivable team internally
  • Practical and collaborative approach to problem solving, ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships and partnerships
  • Must be a self-starter with strong commitment to development and continuous improvement of systems, operations and processes
  • This job requires some travel
