Join us as we build our cutting-edge marketing organization!  We have an opening for a Director Oncology Marketing position.  This person will be a key leader of the pancreatic marketing team and responsible for development of key product strategies and initiatives in the Oncology Franchise.  This team is positioned as a significant growth driver for the organization, which will provide great exposure to senior leadership.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and manage pancreatic brand planning for the US market to ensure alignment across multiple functions including medical affairs, market access, marketing operations, sales, sales operations, market research, legal, regulatory, global marketing and other functions. 

  • Provide reactive and proactive input & insight for business development opportunities.

  • Lead a marketing team to develop and implement innovative marketing tools, which would include personal and non-personal solutions to enhance customer engagement. 

  • Partner with our Global cross functional team as US lead to inform planning for pancreatic strategy.

  • Partner with Market Access as a lead in the development of the value proposition platform across indications and focused on pancreatic cancer.

  • Understand pancreatic cancer market trends and the competitive environment to develop market insights critical to product strategy and communication.

  • Lead a cross functional team to pull through various aspects of conference presence and initiatives.   

  • Track and coordinate the franchise and pancreatic indication budget.

  • Lead efforts to assess and optimize the marketing mix and resource allocation across teams and identify potential synergies and savings.   

  • Develop and optimize opinion leader & key stakeholder engagement and planning efforts. 

  • Manage advertising agency and other vendors to ensure execution towards US Oncology business objectives.

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • 10 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant experience  

  • The preferred candidate will have oncology and/or hematology marketing background with at least 5 years of in-line experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or sales experience.

  • Direct report experience with the ability to lead others, think strategically, drive execution, foster relationships and build alignment.

  • Strong communications skills and track record of effective and influential presentations to external and internal customers.

  • Initiative, creativity, and ability to work effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize.

  • Proven team player with ability to navigate and collaborate cross functionally.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/ graduate degree preferred.
